Songwriter Showdown 2

Backed by Drew Lance, three brave Missouri songwriters will compete and collaborate to create an exciting night of musical magic.

The showdown is a contest style concert with songwriters competing in 4 themed rounds. In each round, the songwriters perform one of their original songs that fits the theme. Then, the audience votes to determine which song wins the round.

Kevin Desrosiers will conduct the show again and keep it on the rails.

Style cards:

At the beginning of the show, each songwriter is given a set of style cards that they use throughout the night. For each of their songs, they use up one of their cards. 

• A little help from my friends: The musician asks someone in the room to accompany them. They can bring a friend with them to the show, ask one of the other musicians to join in, or even invite someone from the audience.

• Unplugged: The musician leaves the stage and goes the middle of the room. Then, they perform their song without a microphone, accompanied by Drew with a hand drum.

• A capela: The songwriter sings their song but doesn't get to play their instrument. They can ask the other musicians to help, though.

• All alone: The musician performs their song solo and unaccompanied

• and more. . . .
